Scientists in the growing field of neuromarketing are eager to learn who responds to what stimuli. Professor Diana Derval says that 25 percent of the population has a so-called fourth cone and are able to detect more color nuances than the rest of us.

Derval said that it’s highly probable people who have an additional fourth cone do not get tricked by blue/black or white/gold dresses — no matter the background light.
