If you watched the premiere of CBS’s new “Late Show with Stephen Colbert” last night, then you may have already seen the first in a new series of Bank of America TV commercials.
The spot was called “Pillars,” and it may have left you scratching your head.
Remember our blog last week about how we’ve all likely sat through work meetings that should have been emails?
Well, these spots take that sentiment, then focus on how ridiculous ad agency meetings can get and how “disconnected” creative direction can sometimes become (a financial marketing director is trying to coach Billy Idol’s musical phrasing and lyrical delivery?). Then … they turned the whole experiment into a Christopher Guest movie. Literally. He directed the spots, and it’s very on-par with his humor. You just have to see the entire series for yourself to “get” it.

The series shares the tagline: “Life’s better when we’re connected.”
